All Systems Red

ok I just learned that the Cinema Paramount is now called Cinéma Banque Scotia Montréal.. WTF?

Variation on Commemorative Transfiguration

The reverberations this morning are telling me I had a really good time yesterday with people I haven't seen in a while. we were such a great happy group of people 8 years ago and it didn't change much. I took some pictures, 4 in total (wow :|) but they're all crappy so please take a look at Jade's flickr account (notice that i'm in neither of them, wich makes me really happy) probably cause I spent a lot of time outside on the balcony or inside in the kitchen oven. And like I predicted, a lot of people didn't reconize me.

Ghosts of Me

Like I said in my last post, I have My Cegep Reunion thingy tomorrow.
I don't know what to wear (ok this sentence just costs me a lot of gurly points).
But the clothes are not my biggest worries right now, I think I changed a hell lot since I graduated.

Maybe it's not a bad thing after all.

Antichrist Television Blues

Start Blather < Enter > Please make yourself comfortable.
I hate hot and humid weather, I can't stand it, I'll have to get use to it, it's only the beginning. To make my life more livable, I installed my A/C window/ fan thingy in my living room and just got a new short hairdo. I tried to let them grow since last September, did an ok job maintaining it.. till now... curly hair sucks, especially in humid weather. Next step, shave them all. But for now, cold/icy shower. I don't usually write blabla's in here..maybe I should, but again, i'm not a blabla girl..I'm about a 3 on the bla's scale. It's not bad considering 10 is Fran Drescher and 1 is Marlee Matlin.

On saturday I have this CEGEP/Graphic design Reunion, after 8 years..It should be interesting, I'll keep you posted.

End Blather < Exit > Please take all of your junk with you and wipe your glass ring on my coffee table, i'm your host not a maid.

Creationism

One of the peculiarities of being a graphic designer is that no one else (particularly the elders) really understands what we do—possibly a result of not being too sure ourself. And one of the side effect of this profession is that I OVERanalyze everything, I scrutinize everything I see, posters, movies, CDs, Newspapers...and so on. In the metro, since I'm trying to avoid everybody, (call me anti-sociable but I can't stand seas of people especially in the metro/bus) I always have my nose in my book. This book follows me everywhere I go, and I can't get enough of it, I like how it's yellow cover catches the eye of my religion/oriented foes and how it makes them shake their heads in disagreement.
Although I like Hitchens book cover, I can't deny my designer nature, and came out with another version of it.

Tube and Nuclear

I had brunch with a very close and important friend today. We ate, talked, laughed and shared. We talked about Nuclears and coloring books and she shared with me this nice video.

Postcard From Purgatory

I finished reading Dawkins's The God Delusion a while back, it took me a long time to read it, I wanted to understand and soak up every words. Since i'm a book ho, today I purchased God is not Great by Christopher Hitchens, read a lot of good reviews about it and it only came out earlier this week.
Excerpt: Hitchens tells the personal story of his own dangerous encounters with religion and describes his intellectual journey toward a secular view of life based on science and reason, in wich the heavens are replaced by the Hubble telescope's awesome view of the universe, and Moses and the burning bush give way to the beauty and symmetry of the double helix. "God did not make us", he writes "We made God". Religion, he explains, is a distortion of our origins, our nature, and the cosmos. We damage our children—and endanger our world—by indoctrinating them.

On another note.. i'm going to Christelle's birthday party tomorrow. Can't wait, it will be a lot of fun judging by the people who will be present. Plus I'll get to see Happy ;)
