Lars and the Real Girl

Here's Six Feet Under screenwriter Nancy Oliver’s latest movie project, Lars and the Real Girl. It has the same dark weird dramatic feel as SFU, I love it. I really think that the movie will have the same buzz as Little Miss Sunshine had last year, judging by the reactions of Toronto film festival screenings. Also HBO just bought the new serie of Six feet under's writers Alan Ball and Nancy Oliver, True Blood, based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire novel series.

Monkey buisness

Truly, all is going to be alright with the world. Or so we are willing to believe after reading this tale of an abandoned baby monkey who was in critical condition when taken in by an animal sanctuary in China. Then, he met a white pigeon, struck up a beautiful friendship, and the rest is history. Ahhhhh![Via Daily News]

We Looked Like Giants

Tonight it was steak night at The Keg to wish our goodbyes to Christelle and Happy. We ate well and too much but it's all good, we had fun. One hour before leaving I had a little accident, again. Looks like I can't go a month without hurting myself. Ouch!

The trailer for Sigur Ros' Heima, the band's first-ever film, due later this fall, just made it's first apparition on the web. The DVD will come with a companion album, entitled Hvarf-Heim, which will feature a few unreleased songs. The entire film was shot at various locations around the band's native Iceland, and if the trailer is any indication, this thing is going to be stunning.
