New Music
A while back in this space, I started, every week, introducing to you guys new sounds and new groups. Music is a big part of my life and helps me define who I am now, at this moment, in this world. If you see me in the subway, at the gym or grocery shopping there's a good chance that i'm plugged in, in my own Matrix.
i've been listening to this amazing group for a while now, if you're a fan of Tori Amos, Bjork and Portishead you'll definitely enjoy the sound of Girl + The Machine
From the far reaches of the fantastic cosmos, arrives Girl + the Machine, a magical music making combo. Girl + the Machine has been sent from the astounding year 3067 in order to restore peace and love to this peculiar galaxy succumbed by wicked times. The most lovely Girl programs her gallant Machine to unleash super powers during spectacular concerts and extra-terrestrial public performances. Dance and costume forged from a demension much more profound are eployed in order to perpetrate resounding positive vibrations amongst devote spiritual entities and attentive sentient beings. By daylight, Girl + the Machine assume non-descript identities in the suburbs of Toronto, disguised as humanoid automatons. To communicate thoughts and transcendent wisdom, Girl utilizes many humanoid languages, including: English, French, Mandarin, Japanese, and Portuguese. Girl can also program her Machine to transmit audible frequencies understood on other planets by countless biological, and non-biological life forms.

People get crushed like biscuit crumbs
Can't seem to do much today, I don't feel like it. I've been listening to Thom Yorke's CD 'Eraser' on repeat all day, wich inspired me this new header.
Someone made an amazing video out of clips of A scanner Darkly and the song Black Swan of Thom Yorke
What will grow quickly, that you can't make straight
It's the price you gotta pay
Do yourself a favour and pack you bags
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
People get crushed like biscuit crumbs
And laid down in the bed you made
You have tried your best to please everyone
But it just isn't happening
No, it just isn't happening

9/11 coincidences and oddities
March 20, 2000 - Filming begins on the The Lone Gunmen's 'Pilot' episode, which depicts a U.S. government conspiracy plot to crash an electronically hijacked Boeing 727 into the WTC and blame it on foreign terrorists in order to provoke war and increase the military's budget.
"On March 4, 2001, during Season 8 of “The X-Files,” the three spun off in a seriocomic series of their own, created by “X” producers Chris Carter, Frank Spotnitz, Vince Gilligan and John Shiban, and co-starring Zuleikha Robinson (“Hidalgo”) and Stephen Snedden (“Coyote Ugly”).
Despite the concern of some fans, the pilot of “The Lone Gunmen” is indeed part of the boxed set. This would seem like a no-brainer — until you realize that the central conspiracy in the episode involved the high-tech electronic hijacking of a commercial airliner with the intent of crashing it into the World Trade Center.
Although the episode was conceived and shot in 2000 and aired six months before the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, the eerie coincidence sent shockwaves through cast and producers.
“I'll never forget that,” says Spotnitz, calling in from the set of the pilot for his remake of “Kolchak: The Night Stalker.” “That was such a disturbing thing. It was very upsetting. As I say in the DVD featurette, you write something like that, and you assume that if you can think of it, being a Hollywood writer, then somebody in the government has thought about it already."

What About Brian?
Last April I turned to this show by accident, and because i'm a big of everything J.J. Abrams does (Felicity, Lost, Alias). What about Brian's a show that portrayed love in 4 different stages - the single dating scene; a couple before marriage; a married couple without children; and a long-wed married couple with many children. After a short first season of 5 episodes, I wasn't sure that the show would come back, But I was really pleased to hear that ABC renewed the serie for its second season and it will premiere on Monday, October 9 (Next to CSI Miami and Studio 60 on the sunset strip..)..Gulp :|

ULALUME
it's quite long but bare with me, it's amazing
The skies they were ashen and sober;
The leaves they were crisped and sere-
The leaves they were withering and sere;
It was night in the lonesome October
Of my most immemorial year;
It was hard by the dim lake of Auber,
In the misty mid region of Weir-
It was down by the dank tarn of Auber,
In the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir.
Here once, through an alley Titanic,
Of cypress, I roamed with my Soul-
Of cypress, with Psyche, my Soul.
There were days when my heart was volcanic
As the scoriac rivers that roll-
As the lavas that restlessly roll
Their sulphurous currents down Yaanek
In the ultimate climes of the pole-
That groan as they roll down Mount Yaanek
In the realms of the boreal pole.
Our talk had been serious and sober,
But our thoughts they were palsied and sere-
Our memories were treacherous and sere-
For we knew not the month was October,
And we marked not the night of the year-
(Ah, night of all nights in the year!)
We noted not the dim lake of Auber-
(Though once we had journeyed down here),
Remembered not the dank tarn of Auber,
Nor the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir.
And now, as the night was senescent,
And star-dials pointed to morn-
As the star-dials hinted of morn-
At the end of our path a liquescent
And nebulous lustre was born,
Out of which a miraculous crescent
Arose with a duplicate horn-
Astarte's bediamonded crescent
Distinct with its duplicate horn.
And I said- "She is warmer than Dian:
She rolls through an ether of sighs-
She revels in a region of sighs:
She has seen that the tears are not dry on
These cheeks, where the worm never dies,
And has come past the stars of the Lion,
To point us the path to the skies-
To the Lethean peace of the skies-
Come up, in despite of the Lion,
To shine on us with her bright eyes-
Come up through the lair of the Lion,
With love in her luminous eyes."
But Psyche, uplifting her finger,
Said- "Sadly this star I mistrust-
Her pallor I strangely mistrust:-
Oh, hasten!- oh, let us not linger!
Oh, fly!- let us fly!- for we must."
In terror she spoke, letting sink her
Wings until they trailed in the dust-
In agony sobbed, letting sink her
Plumes till they trailed in the dust-
Till they sorrowfully trailed in the dust.
I replied- "This is nothing but dreaming:
Let us on by this tremulous light!
Let us bathe in this crystalline light!
Its Sybilic splendor is beaming
With Hope and in Beauty to-night:-
See!- it flickers up the sky through the night!
Ah, we safely may trust to its gleaming,
And be sure it will lead us aright-
We safely may trust to a gleaming
That cannot but guide us aright,
Since it flickers up to Heaven through the night."
Thus I pacified Psyche and kissed her,
And tempted her out of her gloom-
And conquered her scruples and gloom;
And we passed to the end of the vista,
But were stopped by the door of a tomb-
By the door of a legended tomb;
And I said- "What is written, sweet sister,
On the door of this legended tomb?"
She replied- "Ulalume- Ulalume-
'Tis the vault of thy lost Ulalume!"
Then my heart it grew ashen and sober
As the leaves that were crisped and sere-
As the leaves that were withering and sere-
And I cried- "It was surely October
On this very night of last year
That I journeyed- I journeyed down here-
That I brought a dread burden down here-
On this night of all nights in the year,
Ah, what demon has tempted me here?
Well I know, now, this dim lake of Auber-
This misty mid region of Weir- :
Well I know, now, this dank tarn of Auber,
This ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir."

A Day In The Graveyard II
There was a day in the graveyard
With helicopters overhead
I had a rose-petal bed and
The sun on my shoes, and
I knew, I knew, and I couldn’t see
That if you could make another one of you
Then you wouldn’t give the other one to me; oh
If you could make another one of you
Then you wouldn’t give the other one to me.
When the conductor fucks up
You can’t blame the symphony
So I won’t blame you
If you don’t blame me.
You were doing something else that day.
You were doing something else that day.
You were doing something else that day…
[You were doing something else that day.]

Daily Nausea
What's more discusting than being honked at by a school bus driver? What did he expect?
That I would stop, jump in his bus and say: "Ohh, nice horn you got there mister bus driver" ...?,
And, what's more disturbing, it's that he's driving your child home!! Scary!

THOUGHTOGRAPHY
Too lazy to retranscript this post in my own terms, so here's the Wikipedia's take about Ted Serios, who's story will be brought to the big screen by Chris Carter, in hopefully a near future, cause it's been on ice since 1999.
Ted Serios was a Chicago bellhop, possibly alcoholic, who gained notoriety in the 1960s by producing "thoughtographs" on Polaroid film supposedly using only his psychic powers of imagination. His fame, was bolstered by the endorsement of a Denver based psychiatrist, Jule Eisenbud (1908-1999) who wrote a book called The World of Ted Serios: "Thoughtographic" studies of an extraordinary mind (1967) in which he argued for the reality of Serios's feats, which were dismissed as a simple hoax by most educated people. Eisenbud's faith in Serios was extreme, and even as late as the 1980s, Eisenbud claimed that previously unidentified thoughtographs were images of Ganymede, a moon of Jupiter. Pictures of Ganymede had only become available a year before thanks to Voyager 2. “Unfortunately,” wrote Eisenbud, “I couldn’t get an astronomer or optical scientist to agree.”
As Eisenbud's book readily admits, many of Serios's photographs were produced while Serios was drunk or at least drinking. According to Eisenbud, "Ted Serios exhibits a behavior pathology with many character disorders. He does not abide by the laws and customs of our society. He ignores social amenities and has been arrested many times. His psychopathic and sociopathic personality manifests itself in many other ways. He does not exhibit self-control and will blubber, wail and bang his head on the floor when things are not going his way." (as quoted in wildlife photographer Nile Root's own investigation into Serios.)
Serios' images, which often appeared surrounded by dark areas on the film, were often of typical postcard scenes. Serios eventually was only able to produce his photographs while holding "the gizmo" to his forehead. This device has been described as "a small section of tubing fitted with a piece of photo squeegee."
Stage magician and noted debunker James Randi took a special interest in discrediting and debunking Serios at one time. He once produced photographs similar to Serios's while on national television with Serios. Randi's Website now merely comments: "If Mr. Serios did not use a trick method, all the rules of physics, particularly of optics, everything developed by science over the past several centuries, must be rewritten to accommodate Eisenbud's opinion. No such revisions have been found necessary."
Serios's story has never totally gone away. Quite recently, it was alluded to in the fourth season episode of The X-files, Unruhe, and in 1999, The X-Files producer Chris Carter signed a deal to base an entire movie on Dr. Eisenbud's book.
