Top 5 - Scariest Movies of All Time

Strombo preceded me on that. My top 5 Scariest movies of all time. I didn't include the Nightmare on Elm Street Serie cause there's 7 of them and I would've put all of them on my list.

Here it is:
1. The Exorcist (1973). I think I saw that one when I was 5, scared the shit out of me. And still does.

2. The Brood (1979). I'm a huge David Cronenberg fan c'mon (Scanners, eXistenZ, Crash.. just to name a few) gotta love the guy. The Brood, brutal attacks committed by a brood of mutant children?!.. can't go scarier than that.

3. The Silence of the Lambs(1991). Saw that one at 12 at the movie theater, don't know how I got in, but it was the first and only time in my life that I wanted to leave before the end of the movie. Had nightmares for 2 weeks.

4. Pet Sematary(1989). The kid in that movie scares me! In case you didn't know, here's a little fact about me, i'm afraid of kids, some of them are really scary!! especially girls with long hair, and if she happens to wears a white nightgound I'll die on the spot.! [end of personal, weird and embarrassing fact]

5. 28 Days Later(2002). I had to put a zombie flick in my top 5, couldn't find a Vampire one that really scares me ;)

Happy Halloween!!

Makeup Artist for the Evening

Fun evening transforming friends for their Party tonight. I had a blast doing their Makeup. I didn't join them for the actual party, I'm recovering slowly of a cold, need some sleep. The making over thing was, i'm almost sure, as fun as the Party itself.

Tuesday Afternoon at Work

Life's good!

Hellraiser

"The Sovereign LORD has sworn by his holiness: "The time will surely come when you will be taken away with hooks, the last of you with fishhooks."

On October 21, 2006, Clive Barker announced that he would be writing the remake to the original Hellraiser. He will not be directing the remake, but he will be producing it along with Bob Weinstein.

My thoughts: Yessssssss!!!

Elevator Music

Assembly Required

Newest Beck Album, The Information
This is in my opinion Beck's finest album. For years, Beck has embodied a wholly new sound with each album he releases. 'The Information' is a bit happier sounding in parts than the darker 'Guero', but it has it's dark moments too. It's definitely a must-have.

Catch Beck tomorrow (Tuesday Oct17th) on the amazing show The Hour, Hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, CBC at 8:00pm

Shopping Made Simple

Since my plan to go to NY went down the drain last week, I spent all week shopping for things I don't necesscarily need.
God that feels good!!

Latest acquisition:

And currently reading:
From the writer of Fight Club and Choke...

"CAN YOU FEEL THIS?"
Diary takes the form of a "coma diary" kept by one Misty Tracy Wilmot as her husband lies senseless in a hospital after a suicide attempt. Once she was an art student dreaming of creativity and freedom; now, after marrying Peter at school and being brought back to once quaint, now tourist-overrun Waytansea Island, she's been reduced to the condition of a resort hotel maid. Peter, it turns out, has been hiding rooms in houses he's remodeled and scrawling vile messages all over the walls-an old habit of builders but dramatically overdone in Peter's case. Angry homeowners are suing left and right, and Misty's dreams of artistic greatness are in ashes. But then, as if possessed by the spirit of Maura Kinkaid, a fabled Waytansea artist of the nineteenth century, Misty begins painting again, compulsively. But can her newly discovered talent be part of a larger, darker plan? Of course it can …

Conspiracy

I swear, someone, or something out there doesn't want me to set foot across the Canadian border.
For 3 years now i've been wanting to go to NY, I've been planning but something always came up.

Here's the latest.
I've been planning this trip for over a month (apparently there's a lot of people going to NY on labour day weekend), I finally found and booked an hotel room, for the 4 of us.
Wednesday, 3 days before departure, a friend had to cancel due to death in her familly, I understand, there's nothing she can do about that. So we re-re-do the budget to see if we can afford to go with one less player.. Humm it's gonna be tight on my part, but ok, let go anyway.
Thursday 9:30pm, 31hours before departure. The phone rings, J. one of the 3 travelers (including me) remaining (well, she counts for 2 actually cause the other player's her daugther)
Me: "Hey how is it going?"
Her: "Not so good"
Me "What?! what happened?"
Her: "I just got robbed, the house is a total mess, and they took the money I had saved to go on our Trip, So I'm afraid my daughter and I can't go"
Me: ":|" *This is my dumb/surprised/desappointed/agitated face.
Her: Hello?!
Me: ":|"

I'm telling you, it's a conspiracy. I blame death, life, robbers and the United States.

Mister Stevens

Here's 2 new Sufjan Stevens songs, both of which suggest that his best work is yet to come, and these should silence naysayers who whine that Sufjan has become boring and predictable. The guy is a genius and has cemented himself as one of the best songwriters/composers of our generation.
I saw him live 2 years ago and it still gives me chills when I think about it.
